  • Collaborative Document Creation -- Similar to group collaboration tools but focus on document creation and collaboration.

  • Group Collaboration Tools -- Tools which provide a workspace for groups to share. Generally have multiple functions such as discussions, synchronous meetings, file storage and editing of files. Specific functions vary between sites.

  • Single Use Tools -- These tools are generally the easiest to use because their functionality is limited to one specific task.
